The City of Wentzville has a position open for a water operator. This job entails assisting in operations and maintenance of Wentzville’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Some qualifications include: high school or GED; one-year water/wastewater experience preferred; Class D Water Distribution Certification (or ability to obtain one within a year); current Class E CDL; certified to operate forklift; and basic computer knowledge.
Work will be indoors as well as outdoors and includes contacts with the public and customers, working with deadlines under pressure and occasionally working alone.
The starting hourly salary is $13.389 and the application deadline is Jan.13, 2010.
