Timberland’s Nickols is Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete

Timberland High School senior Katy Nickols has been selected by the Timberland coaching staff as their Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete for the 2008-2009 school year.
Katy is ranked second in her class of 328 and has a cumulative 4.32 GPA. She is a three-sport athlete who has earned 12 varsity letters during her prep career.
In basketball, she has been team captain for the past two years, won the Gateway Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award twice, and was honorable mention All-Conference in 2009.
In track and field, she is a four-time Conference Champion, and in 2008 she was a District Champion and qualified for State.
In volleyball, she was second team All-Conference in 2008, won the GAC Sportsmanship Award, and led the Wolves to the GAC North Championship.
Katy will begin working on her medical degree at UMKC in the fall.
