Route N accident seriously injures two

A serious motor vehicle accident occurred on Route N, west of Wilmer Road near Hepperman Road in Wentzville on Thursday at about 6:45 p.m.

A 2008 Toyota Scion, driven by a 16-year-old male from Wentzville was heading eastbound on Route N when he crossed the center line and traveled into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The oncoming, westbound vehicle was a 2005 GMC Envoy, driven by Candice D. Bommarito, 58, of Wright City. Both drivers were reported as entrapped in their vehicles for a time. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The 16-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to Cardinal Glennon Hospital by helicopter. Bommarito also suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur by helicopter.

A pumper truck was requested to act as a landing zone contact for Air Evac and Arch Air Helicopter which both landed near the Walgreens at N and Z.
