Mexico Road Widening Project Open House

The City of Wentzville will host an open house Tues., Feb. 3, to discuss the Mexico Road widening project. The open house will be at the Wentzville Law Enforcement Center at 1019 Schroeder Creek Boulevard in Wentzville from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. City of Wentzville personnel as well as representatives from the consulting firm, Howard R. Green Company, will be on hand to answer questions.

The project is intended to increase sight distance for motorists as well as increase safety for both motorists and pedestrians.

According to Scott Hitchcock, Wentzville City Engineer, the preliminary cost estimate for this project is $4.3 million. Since the design has not been completed, Hitchcock stressed that this is an approximate cost.

The project, which could begin as early as 2010 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2011, includes the following:
