Deputy Chief William Cook retires from Fire District
from Wentzville Fire Protection District

The Wentzville Fire Protection District honored Deputy Chief William R. Cook at the July 9th, 2009 Fire District Board of Directors meeting. Deputy Chief Cook has served the citizens of the fire district for over 36 years. During his tenure with the fire district, Chief Cook held all ranks in the fire service from firefighter to his present position of Deputy Fire Chief. Chief Cook also held all the business positions within the volunteer firefighters association.
The Board also recognized Deputy Chief Cook’s wife, Mary Ann, without whose support and sacrifice, Chief Cook’s achievement could not have been possible. During his years with the fire district, Deputy Chief Cook has mentored both career and volunteer firefighters throughout St. Charles County. Deputy Chief Cook’s knowledge and experience will be missed by the members of the Wentzville Fire Protection District.
The Board of Directors, on its own behalf and on behalf of the District, its Officers, Firefighters, Staff and Citizens extends its congratulations to Deputy Chief William R. Cook for his long and distinguished career with the Wentzville Fire Protection District on his retirement from the Fire Service.
The Wentzville Fire District covers 88 square miles of Western St. Charles County and includes the cities of Wentzville, Foristell, Flint Hill, and Josephville; as well as large portions of Lake Saint Louis, Dardenne Prairie and O’Fallon.
