Join hundreds of volunteers as they come together to help clean St. Peters’ streams to improve the quality of creeks for Operation Clean Stream on Saturday.

This volunteer opportunity is great for individuals, families, groups of friends, scout troops, church groups and anyone looking to help preserve the beauty of St. Peters. Operation Clean Stream is not only a great way to give back to your community, but it’s also a great way to join with volunteers for a great cause—helping our environment.

Since 2000 when St. Peters hosted their first Clean Streams event, volunteers have helped to remove over 25 tons of debris from our creeks including some interesting objects like tires, bicycles and event a johnboat. Volunteers who donate their time to Operation Clean Stream will not only help to keep St. Peters clean, but will also help to preserve the wildlife that call the streams home.

St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano said, “The volunteers who participate in cleaning our streams provide a very valuable community service because the cleanliness and overall quality of our waterways are an important part of our quality of life.”

Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, lunch, refreshments, and other giveaways as a token of appreciation for their help with Operation Clean Stream. Volunteers can meet in City Centre lots C & D the morning of the event.

You or your group can register to volunteer for Operation Clean Stream by calling 636-477-6600 or 636-278-2244 extension 1286. Online registration is also available at www.stpetersmo.net.
