Two Arrested For Stealing From Vehicles

St. Peters
On 4/30/08 at approximately 9:00 p.m., the St. Peters Police Department received a call from a citizen who witnessed an individual breaking into a vehicle in the parking lot of 251 Centre Pointe Drive (Club Fitness).
As the St. Peters Police arrived, officer’s found two males inside the vehicle and a purse lying on the ground. The suspect in the passenger seat was taken into custody with out incident and the suspect in the driver’s seat fled the area.
Arriving officers took the second suspect into custody after a brief foot chase,
The suspect’s are identified as:
Andrew C. Coffer
Black male, 22 years of age
Of St. Louis
Frederick Lee Jr.
Black male, 22 years of age
Of St. Louis
Both Coffer and Lee admitted to breaking into numerous vehicles in the St. Charles County and St. Louis County area over the past few weeks. St. Peters Police also recovered miscellaneous stolen items from Coffer’s vehicle.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s office issued warrants charging Coffer with felony stealing, bond $10,000 no 10%, and Lee with felony stealing, bond $5,000 no 10%.
