St. Peters man seriously injured

Early Sunday morning, a motor vehicle accident on Highway 94 seriously injured a St. Peters man, sending him to the hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol: At about 2:50 a.m. an accident occurred on eastbound Highway 94 at Independence. A 2002 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Curtis A. Duenke, 23, of St. Peters, pulled into the eastbound lanes of Highway 94, failing to yield to another vehicle.
The other vehicle was a 2005 Pontiac GTO, driven by a 17-year-old St. Peters male. The front of the Pontiac struck the driver’s side of the Jeep.
Duenke suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Neither driver was wearing a seat belt during the accident.
