August 11, 2010
St. Peters, MO
Discovering the branches of your family tree can be a fun and entertaining experience. St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center instructor Cindy DuBois has been researching genealogy for more than 30 years and understands the importance of family history and legacy. She knows it’s difficult to get started and will take you step-by-step in discovering your ancestral heritage.
Due to popularity, Cindy will host two sessions each of Genealogy 101 and 102 at the St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center. Genealogy 101 will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. and an evening workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Genealogy 102 will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Wednesday Sept. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. You may attend either the afternoon or the evening sessions. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to trace your family tree.
Cindy says, “When you take this workshop, I’ll put your mind at ease and give you the tools needed to learn about your family quickly.” You’ll learn about Internet research options as well as places to go to acquire information about your ancestors, most of which are free.
“There is at least one genealogist in every family,” says Cindy. “If that’s you, come join a group of people just like you who want to deepen their knowledge of family history.”
The cost for each class is $7 and includes light dessert. Preregister for any of the classes at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.
