Fatal accident on Mid Rivers Mall Drive

The St. Peters Police Department is investigating a fatal accident which occurred Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. The victim was identified as:
James A. Stone, a 21-year-old white male student from O'Fallon, Missouri.
Stone was operating a 1995 Honda Accord, travelling northbound on Mid Rivers Mall Drive when he struck an electrical signal on the shoulder of Mid Rivers Mall Drive at Highway N. Preliminary investigations indicate Stone was wearing his seat belt and the airbags did deploy. Stone was extricated from the vehicle by the fire department and was airlifted to St. Johns Hospital in Creve Coeur where he was pronounced dead.
The St. Peters Police Department Traffic Reconstruction Team investigated the accident and is attempting to determine the cause of the accident. Their report will be available in 6-8 weeks.
