The St. Peters Police Department is having an open house on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. to kick off their new Law Enforcement Exploring program. The open house will be held at St. Peters City Hall which is located at #1 St. Peters Centre Boulevard off Mexico Road, just east of Spencer Road. The Police Explorers program is for men and women who have graduated 8th grade and are 14 years old or 15 to 20 years old.

Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities for those interested in law enforcement as a career.

Law Enforcement Exploring is an action oriented, hands-on, career discovery program. St. Peters Explorers will go through a Youth Citizen Police Academy especially designed for them. The open house will provide more information on the Explorers program and the Youth Citizen Police Academy.

For those interested in attending, please contact Officer Derek Lang at 636-278-2222 or by e-mail at drlang@stpetersmo.net.
