Driver falls asleep at the wheel on I-70

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a driver on Interstate 70 fell asleep Friday night before crashing the car.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, Jason K. Woods, 25, of Hazelwood, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70, west of Route C, in a 2004 Ford Mustang.
Woods fell asleep, ran off the left side of the road, struck a concrete median barrier, overcorrected, and then ran off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail.
Woods suffered minor injuries and was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters by St. Charles County EMS.
He was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
