Adults Learn Basic Hockey Skills at St. Peters Rec-Plex

Hit the ice this summer and learn the basic hockey skills it takes to get your game going. Adults ages 18 and up can participate in Hockey Skating for Adults and Hockey 101 for Adults classes at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.

Hockey Skating for Adults is a five-week class designed for adults interested in learning to play hockey. Learn basic skating skills like forward and backward strides, stopping skills, crossovers, and edge quality. The class starts on July 17 and will meet every Sunday from 3:30-4 p.m. The cost to register is $47 for Rec-Plex pass-holders and $57 for the general public. No equipment is required for this beginning level class.

Hockey 101 for Adults is a five-week class where beginner hockey players can strengthen their skills. Learn in-game scenarios like power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and more. Previous skating experience is required. The class starts on July 17 and will meet every Sunday from 4:15-5 p.m. The cost to register is $80 for Rec-Plex pass-holders and $90 for the general public. Participants must provide their own stick, helmet and shin guards. Skates are available for rent if needed.
