Woman dies in apartment fire

It is being reported that a woman has died in an apartment fire.
At about 8:15 a.m. today firefighters were sent to a two-story apartment building in the 600 block of Clark Street in St. Charles. Originally labeled a one-alarm fire, by 8:30 a.m. it was upgraded to two-alarm.
The cause is unknown. The fire is believed to have started in the basement of the building.
