Three-car accident sends five to hospital

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Ashley N. Warren 24, of Lake Saint Louis was driving a 2006 Lexus RX330 north on Highway 94 at Highway 40. Denise A. Liebel, 50, of St. Charles, was driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee also north on Highway 94 at Highway 40. Both vehicles were making left turns on a green light.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Melissa N. Erckman, 22, of High Ridge, was driving a 2004 Ford Freestyle south on Highway 94 and ran a red light, striking the vehicles driven by Warren and Liebel.
Erckman, as well as four occupants in the vehicle she was driving, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Progress West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
The four occupants were:
Eric L. Blackwell, 35, of St. Louis; Denny A. Busby, 50, of St. Louis; Shonda A. Mallet, 35, of St. Louis; and Ben Starks, 59, of St. Louis.
