St. Charles Steak ‘n Shake evacuates

Two fire trucks and one paramedic unit were called to Steak ‘n Shake in St. Charles Thursday morning on reports of smoke.
The restaurant, at 2221 First Capitol Drive in St. Charles, evacuated for about a half hour until emergency crews gave the go-ahead to re-enter the building.
A representative from that Steak ‘n Shake location said that there was no fire, just smoke and there was no damage done to the restaurant.
