New superintendent for St. Charles Schools

The City of St. Charles School District is proud to announce that Dr. Jeff Marion has been selected to become the next Superintendent of the District.
Dr. Marion is currently in his fourth year as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the District. Prior to his employment with the City of St. Charles School District, Dr. Marion worked for eight years as a high school principal in the Pattonville School District. His twenty-three year career in education includes a total of nineteen years of administrative experience and four years of teaching experience.
Ms. Linda Schulte, President of the Board of Education, said of Dr. Marion, "We are pleased that Dr. Marion has been selected as our next superintendent! The overwhelming support for him from staff, administration, Board of Education and the community during the interview process was evident. We look forward to his leadership and commitment to providing a strong educational format for the students of St. Charles."
Dr. Marion holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, a Masters Degree from Lindenwood University and an Educational Specialist Degree and a Doctoral Degree from St. Louis University.
Dr. Marion, his wife, and family live in St. Charles County and he expressed his excitement about the new position, " The opportunity to lead such a proud and successful district is an unbelievable honor. There is nowhere else that I'd rather be. I want to thank the Board of Education, staff, and community for the confidence and trust they have shown in me... and promise to do all I can to provide the leadership needed and expected."
Dr. Marion will assume his new duties on July 1,2012, following the retirement of the current Superintendent.
