Motorcycle accident sends two to hospital

Sunday afternoon, at about 2:45, James F. Hoffman, 48, and Janet M. Hoffman, 47, both of St. Louis, were riding a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle on Highway 40, near Highway 94.

The driver, James Hoffman, attempted to avoid a stopped vehicle in the traffic lane when both James and Janet were ejected from the motorcycle because of the sudden stop.

Janet Hoffman was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur because of serious injuries.

James Hoffman was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur. He sustained moderate injuries.
