St. Louis grassroots organization, LiveFeed and indie music promoter, iChannel have teamed up with local bands in an effort to stamp out hunger at upcoming music event, i-Fest.

i-Fest will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16 at the St. Charles Family Arena. For $17, concert goers will enjoy the sounds of 12 local bands. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. Show begins at 3:00 p.m.

Featured bands include: Tomorrow’s Rumor, Northside’s Sweet Revenge, Building Rome, Ocean Rivals, Walk Sophie, Go Van Gogh, The Feed, Standpointe and The Marquette Weekend. Headlining the show is the popular group, Greenwheel.

Promoters are asking that audience members bring a can of food to help LiveFeed support local hunger relief. For those having trouble choosing what to donate, the LiveFeed website states there are needs for canned meat and tuna, soups and chili, beans, canned veggies and canned fruit. So far, they have collected 50,787 pounds of food for area food pantries.

Tickets can be purchased at the door. Parking fee is included in ticket price.

The St. Charles Family Arena is located 1 ½ miles south of Interstate 70 and Fifth Street in St. Charles on Arena Parkway. It is located one mile north of the Page Extension. For more information, contact the Family Arena at 636-896-4200.
