Take part in the reenactment of the Lewis and Clark rendezvous celebration at Lewis and Clark Heritage Days in St. Charles this weekend on May 15 and 16.

Before the expedition set out on May 21, 1804, some serious partying occurred. Enjoy food and crafts of the period, a parade, military demonstrations, activities for children, Fife and Drum Corps presentations, music, a fire starting competition and much more. New this year is the Candlelight Camp Tour at Discovery Expedition Camp on May 16 at 8 p.m.

The Discovery Expedition of Saint Charles is located in Frontier Park, near the Lewis and Clark Boathouse. Every year since 1979, Lewis and Clarks’ exploration of the Louisiana Purchase has been celebrated in St. Charles.
