It’s time once again for the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles held in the Frenchtown area, Historic Main Street and in Frontier Park. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21; and 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. Admission is free.

Carnival for the Mind will perform “a magical variety experience.” More entertainment will be provided by the St. Charles Municipal Band, Bells of Joy hand bell choir, Down Home Blues Band, Gateway Jazz Quartet, Erv & Harry, Reelfoot, Stray Bullet Band, Trixie Delight, Red Sky Junkies, Alone and Dying and TNT Hardrive.

Chow down on delicious party food such as bacon rinds, hamburgers, brats, pork steaks, baklava, shredded BBQ, fried Oreos, meatball sandwiches, roasted nuts and of course, snow cones and ice cream.

Kids 12 and under will have a blast at the Kids Corner, held behind the main stage. There will be free soda, face painting and arts and crafts for the kids.

Thanks to CHAMP (Citizens Helping Military Personnel), kids will also have the opportunity to write a short note to be included in care packages sent to a soldier from St. Charles County.

Craft vendors will be on hand displaying everything from furniture to doll clothes to fine art. Pieces will be available for sale.
