Early morning accident sends one to hospital

On Sat., July 11 at about 2:05 a.m., Jeffrey W. Thorn, 46, of O’Fallon was crossing Highway 94 on a green light at Pralle in a 2001 Ford F-150.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christopher S. Wamble, 24, of O’Fallon was traveling northbound on Highway 94, failed to stop for a steady red signal and struck the side of the truck driven by Thorn.
Wamble suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Health Center East by St. Charles County Ambulance. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
At about 3:00 a.m., Wamble was charged with DWI, driving while revoked and C & I (careless and imprudent) driving.
