Taxpayers who reported a change, additional personal property or made corrections on their original assessment form will soon receive a postcard from the St. Charles County Assessor’s office notifying them of the changes.

“This notice alerts taxpayers of the change in their personal property assessment and allows them time to appeal the value within the allowed time frame,” said Scott Shipman, County Assessor. “Our intention is to help citizens avoid problems at the end of the year when they receive their tax bills. At that point, it is too late to appeal the assessed value.”

For more information, visit www.sccmo.org or call the Assessor’s office at 636-949-7420 or 800-822-4012 ext. 7420.
