Three-car accident sends four to hospital

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on Tuesday at about 2:45 p.m., Charles A. Winscott, 82, of St. Charles was crossing eastbound Highway 94 to South Breeze Drive in a 2003 Acura TL.
A 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Rose E. Donahoe, 54, of St. Charles, was heading eastbound on Highway 94. The front side of the Pathfinder struck the right side of the Acura. The Pathfinder then traveled off the right side of the road.
Winscott lost control and the rear of the vehicle he was driving struck the front of a 2000 Honda CRV, driven by Vernon R. Schierding, 21, of Chesterfield, as he waited to turn onto Highway 94.
Winscott and his passenger, Peggy J. Winscott, 73, of St. Charles, suffered minor injuries and were both taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Schierding and his passenger, Dea A. Schierding, 60, of Chesterfield suffered minor injuries and were both taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters by St. Charles County Ambulance.
All involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
