Serious accident sends driver to hospital

On Tuesday, March 15 at about 7:22 p.m., Layton W. Rehmeier, 81, of Augusta, was driving on Highway T just east of Highway TT.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
Layton was traveling east on Highway T in a 2005 Fort F-350 when the vehicle exited the roadway to the right, then struck a road sign and several trees.
Rehmeier suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.
