Motorcycle accident sends one to hospital

On Sunday, April 26 at about 6:30 p.m., Ronald D. Turney, 45, from St. Charles, was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 94, west of Defiance Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Turney failed to negotiate a curve which caused the motorcycle to travel off the road and strike a ditch. Turney was ejected.
He suffered serious injuries and was transported to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance. Turney was charged with DWI.
