June 11, 2011
St. Charles County, MO
Two teams of professional trail experts from the Subaru/International Mountain Bicycle Association (IMBA) will be in town for a two-day Trail Work Conference at Klondike Park (4600 Highway 94 South near Augusta) on June 10 and 11. The IMBA Trail Care Crew will lead classroom sessions, as well as hands-on trail work training sessions with members of the Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC), St. Charles County Parks Department, St. Charles City Parks, St. Louis County Parks staff and more.
“We are so excited to be hosting the IMBA Trail Building Conference at the Klondike Park Conference Center,” said Parks Director, Bettie Yahn-Kramer. “It’s always beneficial when IMBA crews visit and provide us with the cutting-edge trail building knowledge we need to extend our regional trail system.”
The event is being sponsored by GORC whose members are dedicated to advocacy, design, construction, and maintenance of multi-use trails throughout the Metropolitan area. GORC members are also looking forward to the IMBA visit because it has been more than four years since they last visited our area.
The itinerary for the IMBA Trail Building Conference is as follows:

Lunch will be provided by St. Charles County Parks Department
