Independence Day accident on D and T

On July 4 at about 10:10 p.m., Robert J. Feldmann, 40, of Villa Ridge, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on Route D just east of Route T.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 1998 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Ezequiel B. Tome, 21, of Wentzville, crossed the center line and struck the front of the vehicle Feldmann was driving.

Two minor occupants in the Grand Prix were taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance. One child received serious injuries and the other, minor injuries.

Another occupant in the Grand Prix, Lisa M. Feldmann, 42, of Villa Ridge, received minor injuries and was also taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance as was Robert J. Feldmann, who received moderate injuries.

Tome sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. John’s Hospital--Washington by St. Charles County Ambulance.

Everyone involved was wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Tome was charged with driving while intoxicated and assault 2nd degree.
