Boy struck and killed on Highway P

Today at about 12:50 p.m., a nine-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway P near Guthrie Road.
Paramedics performed CPR and medical helicopters were notified. Despite attempts to revive the boy, he died at the scene. His mother was also at the scene.
Highway P was shut down for more than an hour after the accident.
