The O’Fallon Police Department issued this press release:

During the summer months there is usually an increase in the reports for Burglary and Stealing from Motor Vehicles. During the last few weeks we have had numerous reports for stealing from motor vehicles.

We are asking for cooperation from the citizens of O’Fallon to help reduce the number of thefts and the number of victims by urging the citizens to secure their motor vehicles and do not leave valuables or garage door openers in their vehicles. To secure their garage doors and to lock their doors leading from the garage into their residence.

If citizens of O’Fallon see suspicious activity in their subdivision we are urging that they contact the O’Fallon Police Department to report the suspicious behavior.

Any questions should to Capt. Balcom at 636-379-5630.
