On Dec. 17, the O’Fallon Police Department investigated a report of subjects going through vehicles in the Westchester Apartment Complex. An O’Fallon officer observed the suspect vehicle parked in the apartment complex. As the officer was stopping the patrol unit, the suspect vehicle began moving at a high rate of speed towards the officer’s vehicle. The officer quickly turned the patrol vehicle to avoid a head-on collision with the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle then fled the area.

The suspect vehicle was reported nearly striking another vehicle in the area of Bryan Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway. The suspect vehicle went eastbound on Interstate 70 and a pursuit ensued.

In the area of Zumbehl Road, stop sticks were used causing a flat tire on the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued and came to a rolling stop approaching 5th Street. Three suspects ran from the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued.

Two suspects were taken into custody in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings. One suspect remains at large.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued one count of Resisting Arrest and two counts of Property Damage 1st degree, with a $50,000 cash only bond on both 18-year-old Robert Pruitt and a 17-year-old subject. Both are residents of St. Louis.
