Valentine’s Day accident seriously injures one

A woman was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident which occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2011.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
Cynthia D. Schneider, 39, of Wentzville, was driving a 2001 Dodge Neon eastbound on Interstate 70, just west of Belleau Creek Road. Schneider swerved to avoid an unknown vehicle and went off the left side of roadway. The Neon then struck the median wall twice.
Schneider was seriously injured in the accident and was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph’s Health Center.
Suffering moderate injuries were two occupants in the vehicle: Jennifer D. Erickson, 33, of St. Peters and a child. They were also taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph’s Health Center.
All three were wearing seatbelts during the accident.
