"Smoke-Free O'Fallon" ordinance to take effect

The City’s new “Smoke-Free O’Fallon” ordinance is scheduled to go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, June 16. The ordinance, which was approved by O’Fallon voters during the April 5 municipal election, bans smoking in local businesses and at public events.
A copy of the new ordinance is posted on the City’s website, www.ofallon.mo.us. As the date for the ban draws closer, the City also will post information on the website to help residents and businesses throughout the City transition to a smoke-free environment.
