Police chase truck through O’Fallon

At approximately 11:33 p.m., on November 1, 2010, an O’Fallon Police Officer observed a 1992 Chevrolet truck driving erratically on eastbound Interstate 70 near Highway K. The officer conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle on Interstate 70 near T. R. Hughes Boulevard.
As the officer approached the truck, it fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle at which time it exited the highway at the Highway 79 exit and left the roadway.
Upon leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a sign and overturned several times causing the driver to be ejected. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Lorenzo Nunn from Ferguson. He was issued a summons to appear in court on numerous charges to include driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.
