Police ask for public’s assistance

The O’Fallon Police Department is currently investigating a case of Identity Theft/Fraud. Two persons of interest have allegedly opened lines of credit through Sam’s Club and Home Depot in the victim’s name and have run up thousands of dollars worth of charges.

The persons of interest are pictured above, one black female and one black male, were captured on video surveillance at the Sam’s Club located in Ferguson using the fraudulently obtained credit to purchase several thousand dollars worth of merchandise on May 18, 2009 and May 19, 2009.

They were driving an older model black Ford F-150 with IL temporary tags on both days. The same suspects have also passed counterfeited checks in the victim’s name. To date, the subjects have obtained over $10,000.00 worth of merchandise and cash using the victim’s information.

The O’Fallon Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured suspects. Anyone with information, please contact Detective Mountain at 636-379-5534.
