PSC to hold meeting on Ameren rate increase

On Tuesday, February 22, the City of O’Fallon will host the Missouri Public Service Commission’s (MoPSC) public information question and answer session on Ameren Missouri ’s proposed electric utility rate increase, estimated at 11% across the board. At the request of MoPSC, the hearing will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street , O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.
Last June, a 10% rate increase took effect for Missouri Ameren customers, and in July 2010, Ameren asked for an additional $71 million to offset fuel-related costs. In addition, on September 3, 2010, Ameren Missouri filed a rate case with the Missouri PSC seeking to increase annual operating revenues by approximately $263 million.
