O'Fallon Police conduct DWI Saturation Patrols

The O’Fallon Police Department conducted DWI Saturation Patrols during the month of November. The focus of these patrols was to remove impaired drivers from O’Fallon roadways. The patrols consisted of officers working 4 hour overtime shifts during the peak times of DWI offenses.

During these patrols a total of 4 suspects were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. In addition, 1 suspect was arrested for driving on a revoked or suspended license and a fugitive was taken into custody on unrelated charges. A total of 27 citations were issued during the 49 traffic stops that were conducted by officers.

Funding for this effort was provided through a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Division in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Missouri Safety Center.
