O’Fallon mother allegedly assaults teen daughter

On Tuesday, March 31, at approximately 10:08 p.m., the O’Fallon Police Department received a call to respond to the 100 block of Winding Woods Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance.
The suspect was a 41-year-old O’Fallon resident, Kimberly Drago. The victim was her 14-year-old daughter. During the alleged assault, the victim attempted to lock herself into the master bedroom, but the suspect forced her way into the bedroom. She then forced the victim to the floor and grabbed her by the throat and began choking her.
The victim had trouble breathing but she broke free. The suspect began banging the victim’s head on the wall. The victim attempted to leave, but the suspect began choking her again. The victim broke free and called police.
The victim had scratch marks on her throat. She did not require medical attention. Kimberly Drago was taken into custody.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges of Endangering 1st Degree, with a $15,000 bond.
