Community-Oriented Public Safety Day

The whole family can learn about safety, have fun, and see equipment used by law enforcement teams at the O’Fallon Police Department’s annual Community-Oriented Public Safety Day (COPS), which will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, at the O’Fallon Police Department, 100 North Main Street , O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.

The O’Fallon Police Department will give department tours and K-9 demonstrations. Equipment on display will range from the St. Louis Metropolitan Air Support helicopter to the Missouri Highway Patrol’s seatbelt safety crash simulator, and include the fire department’s Smoke House, St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department Bomb and Arson display and SWAT team equipment.

Kids’ activities include a certified children’s safety program, with goodie bags and an O’Fallon Police Department certificate for the first 400 children who complete the required activities. Pony rides, face painting and an inflatable jump house will also be available. Concessions will include $3 meals with hot dogs or hamburgers, chips and a drink.
