New year, new décor for library

Library Express at WingHaven is now closed for a make-over. The branch will soon sport a fresh look for 2010.
I chatted with some of the library team before they locked up. The group is excited to expand into the next store front and gain much more space.
Hard-to-reach children’s materials will be lowered to kids’ eye-levels. The check-out desk will move to what is currently the café area. After the re-do, refreshments will be available similar to the set-up at Middendorf-Kredell.
Wi-Fi lovers will be able to spread out as more space will be allotted to lingering laptop users. And what could be better than relaxing at the library with your computer? More outlets! That’s right, more outlets are sure to make patrons giddy with electricity.
During the closure, the book drop at WingHaven will not be open. Visitors are encouraged to use the Middendorf-Kredell Branch at 2750 Highway K in O’Fallon or the Corporate Parkway Branch at 1200 Corporate Parkway in Wentzville. Check www.youranswerplace.org for more information.
So, when is the big reveal? The “after” is planned for mid-February, 2010.
