New wastewater treatment system for O’Fallon
January 29, 2009
O’Fallon
The City of O’Fallon’s Water, Sewer and Wastewater Department has completed the installation of the city’s new ultraviolet wastewater treatment system.
The process of testing and calibration will take a few weeks. According to the city’s website, the process should be completed by the end of March. The new system will replace the old UV train, which began to fail last summer.
The new system should be fully functional by April, when the Missouri Department of Natural Resources requires UV treatment of sewage prior to discharge.
