Man arrested for theft from motor vehicles

The O’Fallon Police Department made an arrest involving theft from motor vehicles. The alleged suspect is Mark Davenport, a 35-year-old St. Peters resident.
A theft of a laptop computer and other miscellaneous items were reported on Dec. 27 from the 3300 block of Post View Drive. The laptop and other suspected stolen items were subsequently recovered and Davenport arrested.
Davenport admitted to the theft as well as numerous other thefts in O’Fallon and surrounding areas. Numerous other items suspected as being stolen include: electronics such as GPS units, iPods and laptop computers. The investigation is continuing.
The St. Charles County prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued one count of Felony Stealing with a $10,000 cash only bond.
