In keeping up with the ever-expanding use of social media amongst our growing population, the O’Fallon Police Department has now expanded its presence on the social networking site Facebook, in addition to their presence on Twitter.

The Police Department’s Community Services Division and Animal Control Division are now on Facebook.

The Community Services Division which oversees Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch and CERT will use this page to directly communicate with its community partners. Citizens can also go to this site to learn about other events Community Services is involved with by logging on to www.facebook.com.

Citizens who lose their dogs or cats can now go to www.facebook.com/ofallonanimalcontrol and search through images of animals picked up that are not identified through tags or microchips. Every unidentified domesticated animal the Animal Control Rangers pick up will be photographed and the image placed on Facebook. This page will be updated daily to help return pets to their owners and share animal control tips and information.

For any questions, contact Sgt. Robert Kendall at 636-379-5680.

From the O’Fallon Police Department.
