Kids ages 7 – 14 are invited to have a blast in the pool and get a great cardio workout, too, by signing up for O’Fallon’s Inner Tube Water Basketball for both non-swimmers and swimmers, alike. (Players may wear life preservers if they wish.)

Beginning January 9, games will be played on Sundays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC), 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon, Missouri 63368. The cost for the four-week program is $12 for O’Fallon residents and $15 for non-residents. Players are encouraged to register before the deadline of Tuesday, January 4. (Another four-week session will begin on Sunday, February 6.)

The rules are similar to regulation basketball, except that participants must maneuver around the “court” while floating on inner tubes and catching, passing and shooting a water basketball, which is smaller and weighs less than a regulation basketball. Goals are set on the deck about four feet above the pool.
