Incident necessitates ear reattachment

On March 22, 2009 at approximately 11:44 p.m., the O’Fallon Police Department was called in reference to an assault in the 1400 block of Loganberry.
The suspect is 29-year-old James Conley from O’Fallon. Conley allegedly entered the victim’s residence to assault the victim and did so with his hands and fists, causing serious physical injury.
The victim was transported to a hospital for injuries sustained in the assault. A plastic surgeon was called to reattach a portion of the victim’s right ear, which according to the victim, was bit off by Conley.
Conley was taken into custody by police. The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s office issued charges on Conley for Assault 2nd degree with a $25,000 bond.
