Help needed in finding owners of recovered items
from the O’Fallon Police Department

The O’Fallon Police Department is requesting assistance in locating the owners of stolen property recovered by the department. The thefts were from unlocked motor vehicles in the early morning hours of July 14, 2009 from the Calumet Ranch subdivision and in the early morning hours of July 22, 2009 in the Patriots Landing or Turtle Creek subdivisions. The total value of the items recovered as $5,409.41.
On July 22, 2009, at approximately 3:06 a.m., the O’Fallon Police Department received a call from the Patriots Landing subdivision in reference to two juveniles going through a vehicle. Officers responded and a rolling perimeter was established. Sgt. Jeff Lange located the subjects and engaged them in a foot chase, taking a juvenile into custody. The juvenile was in possession of a stolen handgun.
The other juvenile suspect was taken into custody. A large amount of property was recovered. The two juvenile suspects were taken to the St. Charles County Juvenile Justice Center.
Items as of Aug. 6, 2009 that were recovered, but no victims are known, include: back pack, wallets, car air freshener, radar detectors, bandana, golf cleats, bead necklace, Gatorade, hammer, iPod, iPod charger, car adapters, knife, GPS units, car chargers, tool watch, battery in case, car lighter, suction cup mount, mini mag light, Game Boy game, nail clippers, lighters, Johnny Cash CD, iPod case, locket, Tootsie Roll bank, pocket PC, binoculars, nail clipper set, flashlight, ear piece, AC/DC converter, portable DVD player, camera, MPS player, satellite radio receivers, cellular phone, thumb drive, and items containing currency.
