Calling those desiring public office. April 7 elections are just around the corner. It’s time to file those notices of intention.
O’Fallon:
All persons intending their names be placed on the ballot as candidates for city office must file a notice of intention to run with the city clerk. The following positions are affected: mayor for the term of 4 years and councilmen for wards 1, 2, 3 and 4 for terms of 2 years.
Notices of intention to run will be accepted Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to Jan. 20 at 5 p.m. A $25 filing fee shall accompany each notice. Candidates will appear on the ballot in the order they have filed.
On Dec. 16, a line will form in the City Hall west conference room and adjoining lobby area prior to the opening of filing. After Dec. 16, filings will be held in the city clerk’s office.

Dardenne Prairie
Filing dates for the general election are from 8 a.m. on Dec. 16 through 5 p.m. on Jan. 20 at City Hall, 2032 Hanley Road.
The following offices are to be filled: mayor and one alderman for each of the three wards and the remainder of a vacant office of alderman for ward two (term expires 2010).
Wentzville
Filing for the April 7 election opens at 8 a.m. Dec. 16 and closes at 5 p.m. on Jan. 20 at City Hall. Filing fees are $25. Candidates filing for elective office shall file a completed declaration of candidacy with the city clerk or his/her designee at City Hall.
The following offices are to be filled: judge, two year term and one alderman from each of the three wards for two terms.

The filing dates for the general election are from 8 a.m. Dec. 16 through Jan. 20.
Cottleville
Filing date for the general election is from 8 a.m. Dec. 16 during normal business hours through Jan 20 at City Hall.
