DuBray science teacher makes presentation in Columbia

DuBray Middle School science teacher, Mr. Pat Brown, recently made a presentation at the Science Teachers of Missouri (STOM) conference in Columbia, Missouri. Mr. Brown’s presentation focused on the use of an instructional sequence called P.S.O.E. (Predict, Share, Observe, Explain) to engage students in science demonstrations. While at the conference, Mr. Brown was voted by the STOM membership to be on the board of directors for the organization. He will serve a two year term as the middle level director.
Mr. Brown stated, “This will be a great opportunity to work with science teachers and educators across the state on educational issues at both the state and national level.”
