Boardwalk Family Dental makes move

On April 12, Boardwalk Family Dental relocated a few blocks from their former home on Village Center Drive and opened a brand-new location facing WingHaven Boulevard (across from the country club).
Dr. Eric Hurtte D.M.D., often called “Dr. Eric,” heads the practice. He opened Boardwalk Family Dental in 2003 and raves about the family-oriented, neighborly atmosphere of the WingHaven community. Staff members are excited to remain in the area and enjoy a larger location with more parking availability.
“We were busting at the seams,” said office manager and dental assistant, Tija Bloyd Hunter. “We are so happy to have a bigger place.”
Patients love the new 55-inch big screen TV in the waiting room. There is also a children’s play area, which is no surprise since Dr. Eric loves kids and is the former director of a children’s clinic.
Dr. Eric has treated patients from three weeks to 105 years old. He and Bloyd Hunter travel to provide regular dental care to assisted living residents.
New patients are welcome and are even offered a complimentary teeth whitening. Other services include: crowns, bridges, dentures, partials and porcelain veneers. Hurtte is a certified provider of Invisalign yet the practice offers traditional braces as well.
The new office boasts six dental chairs and the capability of expanding as Boardwalk Family Dental continues to grow.
Dr. Eric Hurtte D.M.D. is originally from Taylorville, Illinois. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Memberships include: the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society and Appliance Therapy Group. He and his wife, Kristin, have four children. The family’s most recent addition is a three-year-old boy adopted from Africa.
