Accident sends teen to hospital

On Friday, Nov. 20, at about 7:15 a.m., Twanna L. Ledford, 19, of Lake Saint Louis, was heading eastbound on Highway 40, just west of Route DD in a 1999 Plymouth Neon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
Ledford slowed and stopped due to traffic.
Nathan W. Faatz, 27, of Moscow Mills, was traveling directly behind Ledford in a 1995 Dodge Intrepid. The Intrepid began braking and skidding; and then struck the rear of the Neon.
Ledford suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Ledford was wearing a seatbelt during the accident. Faatz was not.
